1. Type of Service Required
Whether you need crane hire, contract lifting, machinery relocation, or lifting personnel, each service comes with its own set of requirements. Crane hire may only involve the cost of equipment and an operator, whereas contract lifting includes a full management service, additional personnel, and risk assessments, which will affect the overall price.
2. Crane Size and Capacity
The size and capacity of the crane required for your project will significantly impact the cost. We offer cranes ranging from 30 tons to 100+ tons, with each crane having different capabilities and costs associated with its hire. Larger or more specialised cranes may incur higher charges. 3. Duration of Hire
We offer both half-day and full-day hire options for our services, as well as longer-term contracts. The duration of the hire will directly affect the price, with longer-term hires often benefitting from reduced daily rates.
4. Location of the Project
Our services are available nationwide, and we travel to wherever your project is located. However, the distance from our base in Great Yarmouth to your project site may influence transportation costs and time, especially for remote locations.
5. Complexity of the Lift
Complex projects, such as those involving tight spaces, heavy loads, or multiple lifting operations, may require more planning, specialised equipment, or additional personnel. These factors will be considered when pricing the project to ensure safety and efficiency.
6. Personnel Requirements

Full-Service Lifting
With contract lifting, we handle every aspect of the lift, including site surveys, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and providing all necessary personnel. Due to the comprehensive nature of this service, the cost is higher than standard crane hire, but it ensures full compliance with safety regulations and reduces the burden on your team.
Additional Personnel
Contract lifting often requires additional personnel, including appointed persons, lifting supervisors, and slingers. These costs are factored into the overall price to ensure the lift is managed and executed safely.
Crane Hire Pricing Options
Half-Day Hire
For projects that require a crane for just a few hours, we offer half-day hire. This is a cost-effective option for clients who only need the crane for a limited amount of time. Half-day hire is ideal for small or quick jobs that can be completed in under 4 hours.
Half-Day Hire
For longer projects, we offer full-day hire. This option provides you with a crane and certified operator for a full 8-hour working day. Full-day hire is typically suited for larger projects that require more time to set up and execute the lift.
Long-Term Hire
For ongoing projects or multi-lift operations, we offer long-term hire contracts. The cost for long-term hire is often more economical, with reduced rates for extended periods. This is ideal for construction sites or industrial projects that require continuous crane access over several days or weeks.
Machinery Relocation Pricing
Equipment Size & Type
The cost of machinery relocation depends on the size and type of machinery being moved. Larger equipment or delicate machinery that requires special handling or dismantling may increase the cost.
Transportation & Installation
Our machinery relocation services include transportation, installation, and in some cases, dismantling of equipment. Each of these steps will influence the final price, depending on the complexity and the level of support required.
National Coverage
As with our other services, the location of the machinery and its destination will impact the price. Whether you’re moving equipment across the country or relocating within the same site, we offer flexible pricing based on your project’s logistics.
Equipment Hire Pricing
We offer a wide range of lifting equipment for hire, including slings, lifting beams, man baskets, and more. Pricing for equipment hire depends on the type of equipment required, the duration of the hire, and the complexity of the project. We offer flexible short-term and long-term hire options to suit your needs.
Safety & Compliance Costs
Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
For projects that require extensive safety planning, we provide detailed risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). These documents are essential for ensuring that the lift is carried out safely and in compliance with LOLER and BS7121 regulations. The cost of preparing RAMS is factored into contract lifting and complex crane hire projects.
Certified Operators & Personnel
All of our services include CPCS-certified operators, ensuring your project is managed by qualified professionals. If additional personnel are required for safety supervision, this will be included in the overall project cost.
