LOLER
We comply with LOLER to ensure that all lifting operations are planned, supervised, and carried out in a manner that ensures safety at all times. This includes regular inspection of all equipment and adherence to strict guidelines for the safe use of lifting gear.
BS7121 Standards
All of our lifting operations are conducted in accordance with BS7121 – the British Standard for the safe use of cranes. This standard covers everything from planning and management to the execution of crane operations, ensuring that all lifts are carried out safely and efficiently.
CPCS
Our crane operators are fully certified under the CPCS scheme, ensuring they are competent and experienced in the safe operation of cranes and lifting equipment. CPCS certification is a recognised industry standard, ensuring that only qualified personnel are involved in the lifting process.
SafeContractor Approved
We are proud to be SafeContractor approved, a leading accreditation that recognises our commitment to health and safety. Our Approach to Safety
Detailed Risk Assessments
Before every lift, we conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify any potential hazards and create a plan to mitigate them. Our team works closely with your project managers to ensure all risks are fully addressed, from site conditions to equipment requirements.
Method Statements (RAMS)
Every project is accompanied by a detailed method statement outlining the steps required to complete the lift safely. This includes the preparation of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), which provide a full breakdown of the operation, including equipment to be used, personnel involved, and the safety measures in place.
Certified Operators
All crane operators, slingers, and appointed persons on our team are CPCS-certified, ensuring they are fully trained and competent in their roles. This level of certification guarantees that every lift is carried out by professionals who understand the safety standards and technical requirements of lifting operations.
Regular Equipment Maintenance
All lifting equipment, from cranes to slings and shackles, undergoes regular inspections and maintenance in compliance with LOLER regulations, including relevant 6 or 12-monthly inspections. This ensures our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use on your project.
Emergency Safety Protocols
In the unlikely event of an issue during the lift, we have emergency safety protocols in place to ensure the situation is handled quickly and safely. Our team is trained to deal with emergencies and is equipped to stop the operation immediately if a safety risk arises.
